Welcome to my website.
My name is Anat - I am a Houston based self-taught artist, born and raised in the State of Israel. Until not too long ago, I was working in administrative positions in numerous jobs. The breakthrough came as a surprise, when facing a life changing decision to try working in the field. In 2009, I went public with four murals on the Galveston Causeway, each 90 feet long. Since then, I completed more than a hundred larger and smaller scale murals on highways, commercial spots and in private homes throughout the Houston area, designed tens of websites and graphic material items and participated in street art festivals.
Following the motto "never say no", I stumbled upon the opportunity to participate in my first street painting experience - Via Colori 2009 - where I represented a radio station. Having a great time, I enthusiastically said yes when offered to participate in the collaborative mural orchestrated by Melanie Stimmel Van Latum in Via Colori 2010 - and now ecstatic to be the featured artist in 2011.
Coming from a background of business, it's not about me expressing my art that's important to me, rather than answering the client's call. My art is put to service and my main concern is to address my client's needs. While listening to his requests and background information, I come up with several different ideas and we start from there.
This is not a large firm. I work alone or with my husband.
My designs are all original. I don't work with templates and always study the client's background, needs and available information before I come up with the initial ideas. I work on the computer, and also on paper and canvas, plywood, wall, pavement and any surface... I work mostly with brushes and acrylics but also sometimes use spray cans, airbrush, pastels and oils.
I speak fluent English, Hebrew and Spanish.
Please don't hesitate calling me today to discuss your needs.
